Looking at the opulent end of the design scale today, far from the restrained palette of materials in the interiors that I usually feature. The interior of French Coffee designed by India Mahdavi in collaboration with M/M Paris in Paris brings reinterpretations of geometric type and great surface adornment. The pair have collaborated on interiors previously featured here.
Blending classic & modern for The Costes brothers, the cafe has a very strong visual identity thanks to M/M Paris. The logo can been seen used throughout the space, ceiling, flooring, furniture and application of mirror and stone on the walls. Beautifully detailed and a pleasure to look at, using materials like marble, terrazzo, brass and patina mirror, there is a rich palette of materials. Quirky and cool, just as i would expect.
