Sébastien Cordoleani / Frame Lamp

Today's post looks at the work of  Sébastien Cordoleani .  'Frame Lamp' has been designed with the interesting idea of looking both the front & reverse of the surface. Not only a beautiful light on & off, but one that changes in each state. Beautiful images & well worth a look at Sebastain's work, very inspirational.

‘The inspiration of the Lamp come from the screen. I am fascinated with things I observed like moucharabieh in marrok, garden and house screen in Japan. I like this object because it materialize the limit and let see behind. You can see what is after the limit but can’t see the “dark side”, the opposite side of the screen. Interesting by the possibility to paint one side in a color and the other with a different color or a pattern, my project was to develop an object with a decorative content. And also to put light in the shadow to reveal it.’
