Design Junction 2013 / Highlights

Design Junction has arrived this year as part of the London Design Festival  bringing with it a lot of highlights and new products. The three floors of exhibitors in the large venue a former postal sorting office, there was lots to be seen. Here are some of the highlights.

Claesson Koivisto Rune together with Made in Mimbre (by The Andes House, Chile) launched a new collection of wicker lamps named Medusa, Chinita and Bellota. Inspired by the natural world, taking the form of a jellyfish, ladybug and an acorn.

Czech based lighting designers Brokis showed their lighting collection of Balloon, Shadows, Muffins, Memory and Capsula.

The very impressive 'Dent' lighting was hard to miss by London based Innermost and the Optical Illusion 'Canvas' which turns from a 2D image into seating.

The lighting installation of 'Apollo' by International a modular lighting system with inter-changable parts all in anodised aluminium look amazing en masse.

Jamie Oliver's pop-up with BarbecoaThe space has been designed by designjunction's creative director Michael Sodeau, with a focus on natural timber and be furnished by design company Modus.
