I'm very excited to share the interior of Eclectic restaurant in Paris, designed by Design Research Studio, Tom Dixon's interior design practice. Their first project to be completed in Paris by Design Research Studio and it's a great one! The new restaurant from Fabienne + Philippe Amzalak and Jean-Louis Costes combines Tom's love of metallic finishes(I'm with you there), geometry and great use of materials. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of both Design Research Studio & Tom Dixon's work, and you'll see lighting and furniture designed by Tom throughout the space. It's a bold and confident interior, a great contrast to the architecture of the space. Inspiring!!
Fabienne and Philippe Amzalak, the duo behind many great names of Parisian restoration including Le Bon and Ma Cocotte, asked the designer’s Design Research Studio to create cosy and vibrant interiors.
Drawing inspiration from the 1970s architecture of the area, the design plays with colour, simple repeat modules and clean geometry. The experience is one of warmth, colour and comfort, in a brutalist concrete environment, littered with custom designed products.
