Another beautifully executed design for Case Meallin by the talented team at Mim Design. I am by no means biased, but having featured their work before, I'm a fan! Case Meallin has an exciting geometry and beautiful palette of materials and details, teamed with Peter Clarke's photography it's a winner. The stunning honed Vermont white granite reception desk sits in front of the concertina wall, providing textural contrast and adjacent the American Oak solid timber slats which are used throughout the office.
I love the ombre screens on the workstations, who knew they could be so beautiful?! Inspiring interior.
Located in Hawthorn, Melbourne, this wide open-planned office space and reception occupies 500 sqm. The composition of this office space required innovative thinking and clever design solutions to make it practical whilst remaining simple, clean and light-filled. As a prominent Project and Development Management consultancy group, the interior acknowledges our client Case Meallin’s respect for professionalism, planning and efficiency.
The opportunity to integrate Case Meallin’s newly formulated brand, allowed us to draw inspiration from shades of navy, indigo, ultramarine and teal. Applying a grounding palette of charcoal and white, these blues feature in the custom floor covering and as geometric graphics in both the kitchen splashback and office glazing, which creates visual intrigue without playing to short-term trends.
Floor to ceiling natural oak timber screens generate a sense of large scale proportion whilst highlighting the divisions, providing privacy and distinguishing staff zoning between spaces. Throughout the office, efficient planning and clean architectural lines ensure spaces are light-filled and well-proportioned, whilst maintaining a fluidity from one space to the next.
We’ve had a very close working relationship with our client Case Meallin for some time now, they are a Project and Development Management consultancy firm that we’ve worked with on some large scale retail projects in the past, because of their respect and understanding for our design approach they contacted us about designing their new office space last year.
Case Meallin wanted the design to integrate seamlessly with their newly formulated branding strategy, which allowed us to draw inspiration from the shades of navy, indigo, ultramarine and teal which have been a consistent theme throughout the interior. Custom graphic printed laminate splash back ties in with the decals on office and meeting room glazing.
