We knew early on that we wanted to have a central beer counter like the ones you can find in Prague with the same cooling system for glasses and so on. It's not a traditional bar counter because it is slightly lower, 1030mm, it's some kind of mix between a kitchen sink and a bar counter wich makes it interesting. You can sit and eat at it on one end and you can stand around like at a party at someones house on the other.
We also wanted to add different tempos to the space so we have a red section on a higher level with higher booths, a busy round table in the middle of the room, secluded booths at the end of the room and of course the bar itself. You should be able to choose depending on the mood.
During construction we found a wonderful greenish marble floor hidden underneath a wooden floor that we chose to expose. We combined that with green stained wooden panels and green felt. And for the higher level we had the green crash with its contrast colour, red.
The zigzag pattern in the ceiling is a reference to it's mother restaurant on Södermalm in Stockholm from 2011 where we made a terrazzo floor in the same pattern.
