I normally focus on interiors & design that are more locally based, but having lived in Paddington, Sydney not too long ago & spent alot of time around the cafes & shops in Paddingon, it's great to see a new interesting interior on Oxford Steet reinvigorating the well known shopping strip. The installation elements of this interior are very interesting, I love the art element contrasting with the rougher hammered brick wall & the yellow against the grey tiling of the bar again a favourite. The interior designed by Matt Woods with the braided Macrame by Sarah Parkes.
'An intricate macrame feature loops across the ceiling in knotted chains, dropping down the walls to hang or anchored to large wooden knobs. This site specific piece made on the premises and commissioned by interior designer Matt Woods.' Sarah parkes
'an intricate macramé ceiling feature, which is offset by deconstructed brick walls, warm timber counters, blasts of colour and an eclectic range of classically styled furnishings. Diners are encoraged to "hang their hats" and call Avido home' Matt Woods
