~ 'Conversations avec Afra & Tobia Scarpa'// Constance Guisset

An amazing sculptural lighting design called MO by French designer Constance Guisset. Designed for Molteni&C is was shown in context of the flagship store originally designed by Carlo Scarpa's children - if you look closely at the images you can pick up on the Scarpa signature joint details, needless to say I'm a fan of Carlo. The lamps look amazing & the images are one of the reasons I started blogging. Inspiring!
The MO lamp is a wooden structure consisting of several modules, lit by neon.
Scenography and curating of the Flagship Store Molteni&C Dada. Awarded the best scenography for Paris Designer's Days 2011. This aerial sculpture with diverse volumes was designed for the Molteni &C Dada Flagship Store in Paris, and was awarded for best set design during Paris' Designer's Days 2011. MO is also a flexible and dynamic object-lamp, its modules drawing weight structures, animated by the play of natural wood lines. In her productions Constance Guisset reveals a passion for scenography, always searching for hidden harmony between architecture and the objects that inhabit it.
The Molteni&C / Dada flagship store is an exceptionnal place conceived by Afra and Tobia Scarpa in 1979.
'I decided to empty the showroom so as to highlight the thinness of details of its architecture. Contemporary furniture and pieces from the first collections designed by the two architects face each other. They seam to dance under wooden structures designed for the occasion.'
A publication conceived in collaboration with Constance Rubini proposes a treasure hunt of the architecture details.
